About Nine Studio

All children are full of creativity and imagination, and we are responsible for helping them  reach their fullest potential.

We are an art studio who believes learning should be self-motivated and guided by the learner’s needs within their own interests. Nine Studio offers multi-themed after school programs and art camps throughout the year for children to explore their endless interests and playful creativities. The variety of unique activities we offer gives children the best opportunity to find their own interest and the things that motivate them to learn.

We create creativity with your curious children!

Meet the Team

  • Managing Director/ Curriculum Designer/ Photography Teacher

“The best thing about art is that art naturally lands on each one of us no matter how much we love or are good at. The best thing about children is that they are born to be artistic and creative. We connect these dots with children’s own motivation!”

Amelie has a BA in Photography from San Francisco Art Institute and an MA in Arts Administration from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. This art education led to working in a commercial art gallery and museum, as well as with local and international artists as an independent curator. She hopes Nine Studio provides a nurturing environment for all children to find their own voice by being creative and having fun.

  • Drawing & Painting Teacher

“Art is always being around us. Especially for children, art can be their way out, their own imaginary playground, or their storytelling book. I hope children will take their creativity out of the world through the medium of art where play and education can be done together.”

Mijin holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting and Drawing, as well as a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Painting for Fine Art from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. With over 15 years of experience in painting, her primary interests lie in depicting the human figure and urban landscapes. She specializes in capturing the essence of her surroundings through vibrant cityscape paintings and enjoys sharing her artistic experiences and the joy of art with those who appreciate it.

  • Adobe Teacher

“Art is universal. It can be done by anyone, no matter what race, ethnicity, age, or gender. It brings together a community where people are free to be vulnerable and express themselves. Art is a safe environment where it is okay for children to make a mess and experiment with different mediums to help turn their imagination into reality.”

Avica pursued B.F.A. in Art Education from Academy of Art University. She thrives on creating a relaxing environment where kids can feel free to be themselves and express themselves through different mediums of art.

  • Ceramic Teacher

“I love being able to see the world through their eyes. I learn something new every day just by helping the kids use their imaginations at the studio. There is an inner artist in everyone and I enjoy teaching the kids how to find theirs.”

Anna is currently pursuing B.F.A. in Ceramics from the Academy of Art University. Her teaching philosophy focuses on providing kids with access to art and giving them a way to express themselves and their individuality.
