“My 8-year-old son comes to Nine Studio after school every week and has attended camps at Nine over the summer and holiday breaks. Amelie and the teachers have created a warm and inviting space where the kids create art and have a lot of fun. They are very thoughtful about curriculum while giving kids the freedom to be creative and work on their own projects. My son's passion for art has grown so much since he started going to Nine. When my son goes to Nine Studio with an idea in mind, he knows that the teachers will support him in making his idea come to life. He has created a wide range of art at the studio: paintings, drawings, pop art, digital art, crafts, even a functional foosball table made of cardboard! Whatever he can think of, he can create at Nine Studio. As a parent, I love that my son is learning perseverance through his artwork - if he doesn't get it right the first time, the teachers encourage him to work through any frustration and try again, and not give up on an idea just because the execution is challenging. In addition, the low teacher-student ratio allows each student to get a lot of attention from the teachers, and the teachers are able to get to know each student well and engage deeply with each student.

“We highly recommend Nine Studio for any child (or adult!) who wants to explore their artistic self. Our son’s skill, confidence and passion for art has blossomed after 4 years of camps, after school and Saturday classes. The staff are all kind, encouraging and highly skilled as teachers. Our son has learned to paint, sketch and create in so many mediums: pencil, paint, cardboard, photoshop, etc. With encouragement of the staff, he has submitted some of his works and was selected to be published in an art competition. He has truly discovered his inner artist and we can already sense this is a passion that he will continue to pursue as he grows. He is a black diamond skier and he is a gifted artist. However, these abilities needed to be uncovered and honed by caring professionals. Thanks to Avica, Mijin and Amelie at Nine Studio, they have thoughtfully coached my son into the artist he is now. They met him where he was developmentally, integrated him with the other students, and provided him personalized attention. He loves going ‘to Art’ at Nine Studio - it’s the highlight of his week! His passion for cars, dogs, Sonic the Hedgehog, Mario or limousines gets channeled into his weekly creations. Amelie and her team are artists on the canvas, but more importantly in reaching in and helping each child find their own artist within.”
